About the Workshop

Dear Geometric Colleague,

It is our great pleasure to cordially invite you to the International Workshop Advancing Applied Geometric Algebra in Academia and Industry, to be held in Almería, Spain, with academic sessions hosted at the Universidad de Almería (UAL). Following the success of the first edition in San José (March 2025) and the second edition in Brno (November 2025), this third gathering continues our tradition of informal, collaborative meetings focused on advancing applied research, academic exchange and community projects in Geometric Algebra.

The workshop is organized by the Universidad de Almería (UAL) team, bringing together researchers and practitioners from Europe, America, Asia and Oceania.

The workshop will feature:

  • Research presentations on the latest advances in Geometric Algebra
  • Collaboration sessions advancing shared community projects
  • Informal discussions in a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere
  • Academic sessions and shared activities designed for focused collaboration

Key Focus Areas:

  • GA applications in Robotics (singularity detection, kinematics)
  • GA in Power Systems and Power Electronics
  • GA in Medicine and 3D Medical Imaging
  • Pedagogical and foundational topics (e.g. Morley's theorem via GA)
  • GA Computing Tools, Centers and collaboration funding

Schedule overview: the academic program runs on Tuesday, June 23 and Thursday, June 25, with Wednesday, June 24 reserved for local-holiday activities, informal discussion and shared time in Cabo de Gata.

We look forward to welcoming you to Almería for another memorable edition.

Sincerely,

The UAL Organizing Team

Location

Almería and Cabo de Gata

The academic venue is the University of Almería campus, while the social program will take advantage of the nearby Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park and its coastal villages. This combination keeps the scientific sessions close to the university while preserving the Mediterranean setting that has become part of the workshop atmosphere.

Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park

The Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park is Andalusia's largest coastal protected area, a wild and spectacular landscape of volcanic origin. The park includes stunning geological features, pristine beaches, and a rich biodiversity both on land and in its marine reserve.

During the workshop, we will have the opportunity to enjoy some of the most famous beaches in the natural park, such as Genoveses and Monsul, known for their pristine beauty and featured in several international films.

Social Activities

The workshop will include several social activities to enjoy this unique environment, including a guided excursion in the natural park, local Mediterranean food, beach time, swimming or snorkelling if conditions allow, and informal geometric games by the sea.
