The academic venue is the University of Almería campus, while the social program will take advantage of the nearby Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park and its coastal villages. This combination keeps the scientific sessions close to the university while preserving the Mediterranean setting that has become part of the workshop atmosphere.
The Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park is Andalusia's largest coastal protected area, a wild and spectacular landscape of volcanic origin. The park includes stunning geological features, pristine beaches, and a rich biodiversity both on land and in its marine reserve.
During the workshop, we will have the opportunity to enjoy some of the most famous beaches in the natural park, such as Genoveses and Monsul, known for their pristine beauty and featured in several international films.
The workshop will include several social activities to enjoy this unique environment, including a guided excursion in the natural park, local Mediterranean food, beach time, swimming or snorkelling if conditions allow, and informal geometric games by the sea.
