Emeritus Nobel-Augusto Perdú Honeyman worked as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of English and German Philology and the Department of Philology at the University of Almería. He obtained his licenciatura at the University of Malaga (1979) and his doctorate studies at the University of Almería (2003).

   He began his career as a teacher in Malaga in 1977 (Unamuno School), later in Córdoba (Virgen del Carmen School, ETEA University School, Córdoba Language Institute) and then in Almería (University School of Nursing) and the Institute of Education Science of Granada (1989). He became a civil servant by passing the Secondary Education examinations and practiced at the Alboran and Jaroso High Schools. He became part of the University of Almería since its very creation in 1993, although he worked in the Campus of Almería (of the University of Granada) two years before. He is the first sworn English-Spanish interpreter in the province of Almería, and the translator of more than 15 books too. He has been a member of the International Panel for Spanish Translations of Bahá'í Literature since 1993. Dr. Perdú Honeyman has published and edited books and articles on translation and English for Specific Purposes, and has also been responsible of more than seventy R&D contracts on translation and revision of scientific articles. He served as Editor-in-Chief of Odisea. Revista de Estudios Ingleses, published by the Department of Philology, University of Almeria.
