Francisco Manuel Padilla Ruiz

Foto Mi investigación actual se lleva a cabo en cultivos hortícolas aplicando sensores ópticos proximales y otras técnicas de monitorización en suelo y planta para evaluar el estado nutricional de los cultivos y mejorar el manejo de los nutrientes en la agricultura, en particular el nitrógeno. También estoy interesado en los efectos y el manejo de la salinidad en los cultivos y en el estudio de la dinámica de las raíces en respuesta a los recursos del suelo.

A lo largo de mi carrera científica, he utilizado distintas técnicas de estudio sobre cultivos, crecimiento de las raíces, estado hídrico en suelo y planta, y nutrición vegetal, en estudios de campo, invernadero y en macetas en condiciones controladas. He utilizado estas técnicas en ecosistemas naturales, reforestaciones, sistemas de pastos extensivos y cultivos hortícolas intensivos en invernadero.
