AERODYNAMICS CHARACTERISTICS

There is no doubt as to the efficiency of agrotextiles in controlling insects, but they have a negative influence on greenhouse ventilation as they reduce airflow and therefore affect climate variables.

For evaluating this aspect, we analyze the aerodynamic characteristics of these agrotextiles by means of test in a wind tunnel.

We have developed a software called Boreas v.1.3. to automate the testing and data acquisition and storage. The wind tunnel allows measuring the flow reduction coefficient that the agrotextiles causes with its presence.
