GEOMETRIC CHARACTERISATION

Currently, the geometric characterisation is realized by measuring digital images through generic informatics tools.

This procedure does not permit to get a significant number of data and is very inaccurate.

Our research team has developed a specific measure method. It is a software called Euclides v.1.4. that calculates quickly and exactly the geometric parameters of the agrotextiles according to the standard UNE 40606 "Agrotextiles. Determination of the geometric characteristics. Measures in orthogonal projection of woven fabric made with monofilaments".

The geometric parameters that we calculate are as follow:

1. Thread density of the agrotextiles

2. Thread diameter of the agrotextiles

3. Porosity

4. Pore size of the agrotextiles

5. Uniformity of the agrotextiles
