EVALUATING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE AGROTEXTILES

We have made a device to evaluate the efficacy of the agrotextiles. The device allows realize tests with insects alive in calm conditions and, also, at different air velocities.

These tests determine the exclusion coefficient of the agrotextiles at different wind velocity. Usually, the tests results show that when the wind velocity increases the percentage of exclusion decreases, therefore it decreases the effectiveness of these textiles against pests.
