Mª Soledad Cruz Martínez is a Senior Lecturer of English in the Departament of Philology at the University of Almeria. She obtained her licenciatura at the University of Granada (1991) where she also attended her Ph.D. studies, although she completed them at the University of Alicante with a doctoral dissertation about the legal English language.
She started her teaching career at the University of Almería in 1993. Since then, she has taught English Phonetics and courses on English language and its professional and academic varieties. At present, she teaches courses dealing with the use of English for Specific Purposes in the “Master's Programme of Teaching in Secondary Education” as well as in the “Master's Programme in International Management of Business and Languages.” She is a member of the research group HUM 859 “English Language: Applied Linguistics and Literary Studies.”
