Soil and plant
sensors have been evaluated. Soil sensors included capacitance sensors,
granular matrix sensors and tensiometers. Different dynamic protocols
were examined to develop upper and lower limits for irrigation
management using continuous data from volumetric soil water content
sensors. See Thompson et al. (2005; 2007; 2007; 2007).
Stem diameter
sensors (dendrometers) were evaluated for their suitability to for
irrigation management of vegetable crops. See Gallardo et al. (2006;
2006).
