Luis Iribarne
Biography
 



Luis Iribarne received his BSc degree in computer science from the University of Granada, and the MSc and PhD degrees in computer science from the University of Almería, Spain. From 1991 to 1993 he worked as a lecturer at the University of Granada. In 1993 he collaborated as IT Service Analyst at the University School of Almería, and he served for nine years as a lecturer in the Polytechnic School at the University of Almería. From 1993 to 1999 he worked in several national and international research projects on distributed simulation and geographic information systems (GIS). In 2001 he joined  Data, Knowledge and Software Engineering Group and then became Associate Professor, University of Almería in 2002. In 2002 he co-founded the Systems Information Group, and in 2007 he founded the Applied Computing Group (leader). His research interests include Model-Driven Engineering (MDE), Model Transformations, Ontology-Driven Engineering (ODE), Human-Computer Intereraction (HCI) for advances on User Interfaces, System Modelling, Component-Based Software Development (CBSD), COTS components, Trading, Software Services, Agents & MAS, and UML design. IEEE and EUROMICRO member.
