Profile
María Elena Jaime de Pablos is Senior Lecturer at the University of Almería, where she teaches English Literature and American Literature. Her major research interest is Irish Literature, with a special focus on women writers and gender issues. She is the author of nearly fifty essays (articles and book chapters) and the author or editor of nineteen books published by prestigious national and international presses. She is currently the general editor of Raudem, Revista de Estudios de las Mujeres, an online journal on women's studies, and a member of two research projects: "Cuerpos en tránsito 2/ Bodies in Transit 2" (FFI2017-84555-C2-1-P), funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness and the European Regional Development Fund; and "Corporalidad, Géneros y Diferencias: Prácticas culturales de violencia y marginación/ "Corporality, Gender and Differences: Cultural Practices of Violence and Marginalization," funded by the Andalusian Regional Goverment, the Ministry of Economy and Knowledge and the European Union FEDER. She is also the manager of the research group: "Women, Literature and Society."
