Sofía Alférez earned a B.A. (2020) and M.A. (2021) in English Studies at the University of Almería, where she is currently working on her Ph.D. Her dissertation focuses on the representations of vulnerability in Sally Rooney's novels. Her academic interests lie within the field of philosophy applied to literature, contemporary Irish fiction, and gender studies.
