ITCRI: An Interactive Software Tool for Virtual Lab for a Solar Collector Field

This is a virtual lab for a solar collector filed that can be used for modelling and control learing/teaching purposes. Open-loop tests and closed-loop simulatons can be evaluated. Closed-loop tests can be done with only a PI controller or by combining a PI controller with a series or parallel feedforward compensator. This feedforward element is designed based on the static nonlinear model of the process. Different solar radiation profiles are avaialabe to analyze the system under different situations. Morever, the virtual lab allows to include the effect of passing clouds. All the simulated experiments can be stored in a Matlab-like file. Finally, notice that the virtual lab is implemented in JAVA and thus the JAVA Virtual Machine is required.
