The Student Colloid Conferences is a series of international conferences promoted by the European Colloid and Interface Society. The aim of this scheme is to give PhD students the opportunity to present and discuss their work on an international conference in a relaxed atmosphere. These conferences have the particularity that are organized by and for PhD students only. The last conference of this serie was organize by Lund University (Sweden) on july 2007. Now it is the moment to travel from the north of Europe to the south, and next time the conference will be in Almería (Spain), from July 15^th to 18^th of 2009. The conference will have a scientific program. Our intentention is that everybody who wants to give a oral presentation do it. Parallel to this, there will be the oportunity to present your work in poster format. The deadline to submit abstracts with the contributions will be around April 2009, starting around October 2008.

Besides the scientific program, we pretend to give to the participants the opportunity to know the marvellous Almeria's natural areas, and the south spanish trend for the good food and the parties. For that, a interesting and intense social programme will be waiting for the people who visit us.
