THE UNIVERSITY

In Almería we have a campus where there are a lot of buildings with classrooms, three coffee bars, two restaurants, the library, a snack shop, a hairdresser's, a driving school, a tobacconist's, some stacioner's... even more of what a student needs.

There are some areas to study, but also some areas to have a rest lying on the grass when it is sunny, and here you can speak with your friends or even study too. We have the beach very near, just in front of the University, so we can see the sea from our classrooms.

There are very big classrooms because there are some courses in which study a lot of people. We have some computer classrooms with very modern computers.

In Almería there are over twenty degrees in the University, such as: Business, Enviromental Sciencies, English, Spanish, Engineering, Laws, Computer Sciencies, studies to be a Teacher of Music, Sports... Each of these degrees is about three or five years.

Our degree of English is a four year one, and then we can be English teachers in a High School, work in a firm as a translator, or can study a bit more to be a University teacher. In English we have most of the subjects spoken in English, subjects such as: English Literature, American Literature, History of the English Language, History of  English Spoken Countries, Spanish Language, English Language...

We have around eleven subjects per year, but we have the course divided in two parts: from October to February, then we have some exams, and from March to June, then we have the other exams, and then some Summer holidays.

In Almería most of us live with their parents because the Universiti is not very far from the capital, only about twenty minutes.
